Whitby

Anyone got any hotel reccomendations in Whitby?

We've stayed in la rosa a couple of times, but were looking for something a bit different this time.

 

We stayed at Bagdale Hall for a night last year with some American friends who were not impressed. Bed was so hard my ribs were hurting in the morning. Bar shut at 10.30pm - like going back in time!!

 

I stayed in Middle Earth Tavern which I really liked. Bit hippy like.

 

Stayed at the White Horse & Griffin when we went. I liked it.

(Off topic but underwhelmed by both the Magpie & Quayside chippies.)

Cheers! We go to Whitby once or twice a year, so I'll look into the others mentioned.

 

Whitby is either North Face of the Eiger cold or uncomfortably hot every time I've been there. One day I was absolutely freezing in the morning and then got sunburned in the afternoon. It's an odd microclimate that place.

 

You'll have to let me know next time you are over Fezz. I'm living in Hawsker just outside Whitby at the moment. We can take in a few sites and some ale
