    Any Whisky drinkers here?

If so have mooch at your local Tesco to see if they have any clearance deals. It is different for each store but I've just picked up an Ancnoc 12 year Old for £16 instead of £32 and a Dalwhinnie 1992 Distillers Edition for £27.50 instead of £55 from the big shop in Seacroft.

They also have deals on other spirits and wine.

    Favourite Bands:
    Two Gallants
Cant drink it, makes me chuck. I like rum instead which can be drank in exactly the same way as a single malt however rum is massively under represented in supermarkets. Its Bacardi, Captain Morgans, Lambs or nowt

I've just bloody been to Tesco! Should have looked.

Probably my favourite Whisky is actually a pretty cheap blend, Singleton's 12 Year (there's apparently a 15 year but I've never found it and it's probably very expensive). Usually about £30 a bottle.

I was the same until a few years ago but have finally got a taste for it.

It was actually a few Bourbon cocktails one night that finally got me on the road to loving the stuff.

I tried a Welsh Whisky a while back (there's a fantastic Whisky shop in Manchester which does tastings), Penderyn Peated single malt. Really lovely stuff

I've had a Penderyn but not than one. Now on my list :)

I go to tastings at the Cross Keys run by http://www.thewhiskylounge.com/ . They are great nights and the one in November is likely to be a blind tasting of 6 peated whiskies. Should be right up your alley.

There's a booze shop in Knareborough, just across the square from Blind Jacks (best real ale pub in the world) which just leaves a few bottles on a table by the door for punters to try.

Baba Jaga in Harehills can get you pretty much anything. It's quite impressive.

After a slightly drunken night on Friday I opened a Distillers edition Lagavulin. Dark, smoky and bloody gorgeous.

Indeed. Please close it and I'll start a new one if things settle down.
