Just joined up and thought I'd weigh in on this one. Not a web designer as such, but do provide graphic content for websites such as illustration, banners etc. Also provide all of the usual print services, including logo design, posters, flyers, Album and EP artwork and don't use stoke imagery or vectors to create my designs, which always helps if you're trying to be original.
Website is www.tearawaystudios.co.uk
My friend James designs and builds very nice, very affordable websites from his offices in Headingley:
He's done some nice work for singer songwriters over the last few months, so I thought I'd big him up on here!
I do website design/development under the name of Rend It Design. My portfolio site is hopelessly out of date but I built and developed this:
And here's an old event site:
I also did the design work on http://www.lovewriting.co.uk/
Mind you, I have knack-all free time these days and so the freelance jobs I take on are minimal but there you go.
Her email form is broken on her website.
Another name for this list! I do graphic design and web development for affordable prices.
have a rummage on http://angry-octopus.co.uk

I'm Martin and I have 4+ years experience with the creation of many different industry websites and internet marketing.
I cater for, but not limited to: dj's, record labels, promoters, bands, singer songwriters, rappers, recording studios, venue's, producers & other creative portfolio's such as photographers, videographers, artists and much more!
I have been building websites for the past few years, including eCommerce shops, forums, portfolio's, hotel websites and creating marketing strategies along the way too. I would love to get involved with your band or audio project to get the features you want and need in to a website presence.
The websites I create for your business are always:
Easy to maintain and updatable by you
Work with and not against Search Engines
Developed for you as a creative
Amended & advanced after one month of being live
As well as being a website developer for creative's, I am a digital music marketer and have an affinity for making sure a site is searchable and technically healthy. I can help your site connect with audiences through relevant content (SEO). If you like what you see and would love to work together, please feel free to contact me.
I have built up great working practices over the years working in other industries and on other websites, so you are always guaranteed great standard features;
Website in tune with your current graphics or photography
Latest news and Event pages
Links to other important parts of your band online
Social Network links
Solid SEO foundation with the ability to add more features
Biography and About page
Media page of your choice (Sound, Image, Video or combination) // Portfolio page
Fully interactive commenting based on Disqus, Facebook or your own system
Another unique content page of your choice (EPK etc)
Responsive design which will always work with desktop computers to mobile's
Basic content set strategies, starting with your blog, social blogging and micro blogging

Trapedinthesky, very nice page! Is the name an Archer reference by any chance?
Wow this post has been going a long while.
For the record I (now) work for Blue Logic Web ( http://www.bluelogic.co.uk/web-services ), a small web design, development and online marketing studio just on the outskirts of Leeds, near Thorner.
I personally have past music experience in that i worked on apps, websites and SEO for Pete Tong, numerous Ibiza clubs, Leeds club nights (Kadence) and a number of smaller local bands including Western Suburbs.
So if you want a great new website, some bespoke app or animated interfaces, a creative solution for an app or a website that sells your tracks affordably then let me know.

The team at Orange Crush Design are amazing. I used to work with the guy who set it up and as well as being a funny guy he can take your ideas from scribbles on a piece of paper to fully functioning pieces of web art.
How many of you guys created/maintain your band's own site? I'm asking because I was wondering how feasible such a thing would be. Could I start up my own site on something like http://website.1and1.co.uk/website-templates and run it myself without having much experience with this kind of thing? I know it would take a while, but I'm interested in learning how to do these things for myself.
Any working websites? ) are you really web designers ? I need one asap for my band page. Also logo designer and video maker with mark 2 cam or something like this.
Pm please. Thanks!
I'm not a great fan of 1 and 1, there's a lot of hidden restrictions behind the scene. You don't need too much technical knowledge (but would need some) to create and run your own band website.
I personally use Hostrocket in the US, they've been going ages, I've been with them over a decade and you get 24 hour support, I've even done trouble tickets on Xmas. The fact is web hosting is better value in the US than Europe and the service is far better unless you're spending serious money. Once you have your own host you can then install Wordpress or such like (it's even got a wizard so it's a few clicks and you're up and running), it even offers auto daily backups and one click restores.
When not stressing about bands, I also make websites. Recent projects include Department M, Far Beyond Driven & many more.
Getting ready to launch and start some new web projects for February but have space for a couple more. if anyone is interested hit me up on email@example.com
If you're looking for a web designer near to Leeds then have a look at Orange Crush Design at http://www.orangecrushdigital.co.uk/
They're really good at what they do, offer you the complete package and the owner is really nice guy that I used to work with.
