I know some people on here are web designers in some capacity, can we have you all lined up in one place for easy access?

And also, can people recommend someone they've used before? This would be a useful resource.

ROB COLE: The guy who designed my site, http://www.jongomm.com , which is looking very old now but then it IS very old, but is functionally rather good, is an excellent pro designer called Rob Cole. rob@hotcoles.com

FRAN ROGERS: http://www.lazydane.co.uk .....always looking for projects to get involved in, especially music related ones.

    DAVE SUGDEN: http://www.leedsmusicscene.net , http://www.leedsgigs.co.uk , http://www.leedsgigtickets.co.uk , http://www.music-ads.com
    for all your backend needs

    YON YONSON: http://www.facebook.com/pages/YonYonson/119652714163

MARK SHAHID MULTIMEDIA DESIGN http://www.markshahid.co.uk aka plasicfuzz. Web design, flash, myspace design.

    Tom O'Connor http://www.xypromotions.co.uk

Do you mean Design or Development, or both? I can do the latter, but aren't that good at the former.

As I'm not either, you'll have to explain the terminology before I can answer that.

Simply put: I can do the functional making-it-happen stuff, doing databases for dynamic content, site management, etc, (the boring, but important bits for content-based sites that I am more familiar with) but I'm not so hot on it looking nice and pretty. Some folk are good at one or the other, and some people are good at both.

Right, I'm assuming your details would be useful then Dave, for some people, maybe people looking to make more complex sites than your regular band site.

Do you have any examples of your work?

    this is mad

... are all examples of my Design & Development. You'll see I'm very "boxy" in my approach to everything, hence why I don't profess much Design skills. I wouldn't say I'm not interested in doing Web Design, but I'm far more interested in the coding side of things.

I also did quite a few changes to Claire Morris' site to make it dynamic and functional and to give her access to upload new photos (from what was a pretty looking but static original design - static meaning she couldn't add any new photos) The design isn't mine, but I recreated (re-wrote it all) the original site for Claire so that it 'worked' for her @ http://www.clairemorrisphotography.co.uk

I am able to design CSS websites, CSS web pages, Myspaces, flash ads & banners and I specialise in flash games for viral marketing. This is all for bands and small businesses. My rates are reasonable but they do fluctuate depending on the amount of work I have on. That may seem unorthodox but it seems to be working fine!

A Fash viral game I made:

    A Myspace I made:

Tom O'Connor (our front man, not THE Tom O'Connor) did our band website and myspace, which I'm sure you've all viewed hundreds of times and been completely blown away by.

He's also done other, non-music related things too.

    http://www.xypromotions.co.uk has all the info...

I do a lot of design for print but also web stuff as a sideline (but increasingly so, its what clients want). I'm the opposite of Dave in that I can design nice things but I'm crap at the coding and database stuff.

Here's a site I did only last week

    http://www.ibi-uk.com

Or theres the shatner site of course which is a couple of years old now

    http://www.shatner.info

I have several other company sites online but I don't rate them enough to tell you about them

Yeah, so I do little bits and bats.

I'm decent in Photoshop and can piece together a pretty bloody solid HTML site if it's the sort of thing you wouldn't be updating that often. Great for portfolio sites etc; probably not that good if you need to be constantly managing gig listings and news posting etc. Recently did Moog's site, though it appears to have gone a bit haywire. No idea why the text size, sidebar width and music player are all refusing to work properly, as it was fine last time I had a wander over there. Neil, what have you done?! ;)

I'm also reasonably efficient at adapting Wordpress themes to fit new brands and designs, which might seem a bit of an odd thing to say, but I'd recommend Wordpress to anyone who wants to have a site that's easily and quickly manageable while looking bloody awesome. Though it's traditionally a blog platform, it's increasingly being adapted for full-blown websites. Take a look at Resolution to see how far it'll stretch.

Everyone else on here is probably more talented than I am, but might as well plonk my name on the list.

My mate is a web developer specialising in Ruby on Rails. The Music Producers Guild is one of his clients. He's good with all that back-end/e-commerce/database stuff.
