No aej1 with the right opportunity it can be fun. Whether selling greeting cards, or home parties promoting skincare products or dropping catalogues through letter boxes selling household products, in the World of Direct Sells there is something for everyone. No selling experience needed, no business experience required, just common sense, determination and a desire to succeed. These opportunities are helping an increasing number of people to generate an extra monthly income. If you had an extra £100 a month what would you spend it on? What about an extra £200 or £500, what about £1000! That's the beauty of it in Direct Sells we can earn what we want.

I run my own businesses working from home Ann and certainly don't feel like a slave.

No doubt a business of your own making Mr TD. Where every customer is your boss, for a comfortable living.
Being an agent or franchisee makes one become a drone for someone else, for their comfortable living.
I'm not speaking from experience, I've worked for a large company as a drone but mainly self employed.
Patronising words as used above are so annoying, they are for unskilled people, who don't know any better.

My words Derc ? I wasn't trying to be patronising. Simply pointing out working from home is mot always slave work.

No not your words at all MrTD, I worked from home originally, the phone never stopped, people calling round on a Sunday, I had to find premises to work from,
I suppose it depends on the type of work one does. I was referring to #3 "what would you spend an extra £100 - £1,000 a month on",
being a person with common sense, perhaps a new shed with a secure safe for my extra earnings. Like the adverts on tv that ask these silly questions,
I find them more annoying than entertaining.

If I was to set up a business from home, or shed, It would be to sell E cigs, what an earner, people are clamouring for them. I asked a dealer how safe they were,
he replied safer than tobacco, so there you have it. plus it brings smokers back inside pubs and maybe buses and trains, not sure. For a modest outlay,
and don't forget, they require refills, we could each become vapour barons in our areas, except maybe areas that have their own existing barons,
albeit a different smoking material. What would you spend your new found wealth on? maybe a gun, samurai sword or a baseball bat. :hey:

I am happy to introduce you to a number of contacts I have Derc that are just ordinary people who are earning hundreds even thousands of pounds per month, in Direct sells you can only succeed by helping others to succeed too. As you have no knowledge of Direct Sells it is not fair to comment about it, gain knowledge first. I know there is a lot of negative stuff about Direct Sells, apologies Derc I know this not you, but I do get tired of having to explain myself and about Network Marketing. All I have is a little greeting card business, I want to develop it so it can pay for all the nice things for me and Andrew, like Holidays etc..

I don't need contacts GC, or extra money, as I wouldn't know what to do with it. I made enough in the past to be happy with, being self employed
and also helping the general public in emergency situations. It seems to me, in my ignorance that you need people to do what you are doing?
Rather similar to an employer having drones or a 'team' to expand his/her business, profits and other pleasures. I'm not attacking your method, perhaps you could explain
what 'direct sells' and 'network marketing' entails, if you're not too tired of explaining, I'm no wiser up to press if it's different from my comments. :icon_confused:

Spot on Derc, more people to do what I do, couldn't put it better myself. Networking is a bit like a shop having branches across the country. So say I had a shop and decided to open four shops like mine and install a manager in each one they recruit staff, train them and support them. Each staff member has an opportunity to promote to Manage another shop through personal development and successful sales. In Network Marketing, i do my retailing, building a customer base, then recruit some people and find out which ones want to become a Leader or Manager, I will help them with personal development and support. Each team member is building their own retail customer base. The great thing about Network Marketing is getting paid for work I have done in the past, a bit like the Royalties Actors and Pop Singers get. So I get a bonus based on the total sales going through my Network. So that's my sales and my teams sales and their teams sales and their team sales. So can imagine if I had a network of say 100 people each building their own customer bases, each building their own teams, my monthly income will go up and up. And it's paid for life, so even after I retire my business will continue to grow and pay me an income, so a good pension plan too.

Don't worry guys I am still here (which is surprising considering the weather in Leeds today!!)

there REALLY are a multitude of ways now to earn money online from home, and it's not slave labor by any means.

Why not pop over to our site, register, take a look and ask some questions and you might be pleasantly surprised at what is available out there.

I agree with your first comment but you have already posted your Company already on two different pages, give someone else a chance.

Well sorry you think like that Jack but how am I not giving others a chance? It appears to me you just having a go at me, that's the trouble with forums gives people ample opportunity to have a go! Just be nice to each other that's what matters no need for nasty stuff. People are free to have their chance no one is stopping them!

This method of selling used to be called pyramid, the more monkeys you can train to perform the less you will need to do yourself, they can train other monkeys,
using your formula and materials of course. They are tied like most pub landlords and 'managers' of franchises such as macdonalds to using one authorised brand,
which is your brand of course and one they have to buy along with the 'official' presentation pack, and training. No trades person is treated in such a manner,
while being an apprentice. I've a feeling GC is fed up of wearing out his own shoes and is trying for team leader, then who knows, area leader?
My Grannie said, "the devil craps on the highest pile" hence I believe the pyramid effect. Hope you can tempt enough monkeys to perform for your future GC. :icon_cool:

We'll certainly a fun way of looking at it. , but consider a cooperate business who is at the top, a chairman, below him the Directors, below them and more of them all the middle managers, area manager etc.. Then below them in masses all the employees, so what sort of shape is that? A pyramid! Multi level marketing everyone starts on a level playing field, everyone has the same access to trainings and support. Those that succeed can only do so by helping their team to succeed too. It is possible for a team member to be more successful than the person who recruited them! So nothing like a pyramid. For that you have to work for other people.

Quite rightly pointed out GC, and I've been in a similar organisation with a single entry level. Then lots of other criteria come into play and a member of a team
claws above the team to lead, maybe initially as a player captain but he/she can't take the whole team with them, so loyalty as part of the team gets changed
to using the team. At least the business man pays for the training of his workers and also pays for holidays, sickies, doc/dental, appointments, etc.
He has to buy specialists, managers, accountants, comfortable premises to house his workers, pay for their safety, allow for fiddles and pilfering, and on and on.
Hardly any of these would apply to direct sales and network marketing, which isn't all bad, in fact, come to think of it, you and Money Shed are on a winner!! haha :D
