I meant to burn the CDs too, not to just buy blanks and do it myself.

    Cd duplication and packaging

    Anyone know anywhere decent ?

Im only wanting to get about 50-100 done. Simple packaging.

I've been quoted about £5 per cd at the moment, which is astronomical.

Do it yourself - my band did 100 for about £35. CD's, plastic wallets and cd covers from Asda.

Cheap as chips (v time consuming though!)

    Re: CD duplication and packaging

I'll declare an interest before I start as I do some of their graphic design but they're a good crowd...

Alpha Duplication are one of the few duplicators in the UK who screen & litho print their discs in-house. They do a lot of work within the industry, in fact if you getting screen or litho printed disc done, the chances are that it'll will done at Alpha and you're going through a third party to get there. They do plenty of work for private individuals though.

What this basically means is that you can get professional (as in the same quality you'd expect from ones bought at HMV etc. rather than homemade-looking digital print) from 100+ units pretty cheaply & easily. They also have most packaging options available on these sort of quantities.

Visit www.alpha-duplication.com or audio.alpha-duplication.com, they've got plenty of examples on their gallery pages of the print and packaging & will send out samples if you ask.

Give Shaun a call on 01977 516604 & he'll only be too happy to help.

I would recommend http://www.cdduplicationpro.com if you want CD duplication. They deliver all over the UK & IRELAND. Best prices ive seen or try http://www.redbarn.co.uk. They are good to, based in Glasgow, Scotland I think. Ask for samples is the best advice. And if you can get Glass Mastered CD replication as apposed to CD duplication (ie CD-Rs) as they are the best quality. Glass mastered means it is the same quality as you get in HMV or Tescos.

Repeating myself here but I would recommend http://www.cdduplicationpro.com or http://www.maybankstudios.co.uk for CD duplication. Both are excellent. CD Duplication Pro will manufacture down to 100 x Glass mastered CDs. The only place ive seen do such a low quantity. Glass mastered CDs (sometimes called CD replication) are the best type, as CD-Rs can be cheap and nasty and the printing and copying can be awful sometimes. Always ask for samples to be posted is the best advice. http://www.redbarn.co.uk are also worth lookin at.
