Community Cinema comes to Calverley for the first time on 3 December 2011.

The community are to vote for their favourite choice from 3 films:
It's a Wonderful Life, Miracle on 34th Street or White Christmas.

Please use the link below to vote for your favourite "seasonal film"

    http://www.creativecalverley.co.uk/Events.html

The home for the cinema will be in St Wilfrid's Church in Calverley where people can enjoy "views from the pews" in this beautiful and historical location. (Cushions are however recommended).

If you don't want to vote for the film over the web, you can also go in person to Calverley Library and Calverley Post Office to register your choice.

    Definitely...

Should popcorn etc be served or does that annoy people if someone next to them is munching their way through a "tense moment" in a film?

Like to watch without someone rustling sweet bags etc OR....maybe have an interval like they had in the past...hmmm

intervals are always good, it makes a cinema different from the big multiplexes, nice to have a break in the middle of a long film.

May also need to move if the "views from the pews" are a bit stiffening without a cushion.

Popcorn is a must I think

I do like the idea of an interval, especially in a long film and especially in childrens films.

Is 20 minutes too long do you think?

Childrens Films on a Saturday morning may well be put on (watch this space) bring back Champion the Wonderhorse and Flash Gordon is what I say (Ming the Merciless)...those were the days
