**** it, I also want to add Post War Glamour Girl's Pink Fur to my list. I helped release it so am massively biased, but even if I wasn't involved it'd still be my most listened to album this year.

In no particular order, and certainly not my defining list, but these are all, and would be high up on what i've listened to.

Ought - More Than any Other Day
    Strand Of Oaks - Heal
The War On Drugs - Lost in the Dream
    Meatbodies -
    Ty Segall - Manipulator
Angel Olsen - Burn Your Fire For No Witness
    Arctic Mokeys - AM
    Alvvays - Alvvays
    Future Islands - Singles
Damian Jurado-Brothers And Sisters Of the Eternal Son (Anything, everything that D.Jurado ever does, has done is wonderful. In my top 10 performers live of all time.)
    Hookworms - The Hum
    Goat - Commune
    Real Estate - Atlas
    Sun Kil Moon - Benji
Sharon Van Etten - Are We There (although i still much prefer Tramp, that is a work of genius!)
    Eagulls - Eagulls
Martin & Eliza Carthy - The Moral Of The Elephant
Steve Gunn - Way Out Weather
    Foxygen - And Star Power
    Beck - Morning Phase
    St. Vincent - Saint Vincent
Protomartyr - Under Colour Of Official Right
    Swans - To Be Kind

I've probably missed off a load, but... this is off the top of my head.

The album I most enjoyed in 2014, but was released in 2013, but didn't discover until early 2014 = Protomartyr - No Passion All Technique

Looking forward to releases by Father John Misty, Jose Gonzalez, Lord Huron, possibly another 2 Ty Segall albums, Moon Duo, Two Gallants, TTMOE, and so many more

Its hard to pick a performance of the year.... notable performances go to.... Ought, Slint, ESG, Cate Le Bon, Eagulls, Mike Watt, King Khan, The Sonics, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Chameleons Vox, Jason Isbell, Rose Windows, Yob, Earthless, Ty Segall, Angel Olsen and more....

Performance I'd waited years to see, and it fulfilled - SLINT

I was most excited about Caribou, but then found I just haven't taken to it this time. Its def not the last album.

Most disappointing album - Merchandise - what has happened there? 4AD? Its gone way wrong sorry.

Theres also way too much more, but....

No love for the Scott Walker/Sunn O))) record on here? I was incredibly excited when it was announced and wasn't disappointed.

Good stuff also from Earth, Pallbearer, Hookworms, Grouper, Tindersticks, Sunwolf, Melvins, Oren Ambarchi and A Winged Victory for the Sullen.
