Leeds’s housing boss (Coun. Peter Gruen) says council tenants’ right to buy their homes is more a “bribe” to buy - and should be scrapped.
Almost £350m in receipts from selling off 10,000 Leeds council houses since 2000, and it all goes to the Government, not the council. 21,252 households are currently on the social housing waiting list.

Haha ! - a member of Leeds Council flouting the word "bribe". "People in glass houses" and all that...
If they didn't spend all the money on so called 'experts' and reports then there would be more to spend on housing.
