Hi,

My mum and I have tickets to see Brandon Flowers at the O2 Academy on Wednesday. I work in Bradford and will be finishing work early (3pm) for the gig. Our original plan was for me to leave the car at work and get the train to Leeds, then back to Bradford afterwards to drive us both home. But we're a bit concerned that the last train to Bradford is 23.05 - if we're not out of the gig in time for that, we're stuck really.

So my question is really two questions:

a) has anybody been to a weeknight gig at the O2 before? Is there a certain time they're normally finished by (I have a friend seeing BF in Glasgow tomorrow night so will be questioning her about the finishing time too!)?

b) Assuming there's no guarantee we'll be out in time for the 23.05 train, where is the best place to park in Leeds for somebody who isn't particularly happy about driving in cities? I'd be getting to Leeds around 4ish, and the car would be there til around midnight, so somewhere that doesn't cost a fortune would be great too!

I'm quite happy to park somewhere out of the way and get a bus into the city centre if it's easier and cheaper, provided the buses run late enough to get me back.

Any suggestions gratefully accepted!

Thanks,
Rach

If they have a club night on after the gig they're usually pretty prompt at getting people out at half ten. When I saw The Fall there they even turned the power off to the stage to get the band to finish.

But I'd check with the venue if I were you, rather than relying on some loon off the internet.
