Former trade minister Lord Digby Jones says many universities should consider awarding more vocational qualifications. Can universities do more to prepare graduates for work?

Universities about academic study and research. Vocational courses are IMO better suited to local colleges.

However, no doubt with budgets being squeezed more and more no doubt unis will have to diversify into vocational courses to stay alive.
