Just got back from Greece, and we have a month in south Africa booked in January freeloading on family, and I know this sounds like showing off but "senior management" has just found a deal on teletext holidays for a week in Lanzarote in october all inclusive for £298 PP PW so it looks like I might be off there as well, she says shes booking it today if its still available

I've just been to Kefalonia, Greece. I can highly recommend it.

The water is turquoise, snorkelling excellent. Hiring a boat and visiting inaccessible beaches and coves is a must too.

In a week - Cornwall (Looe) - not been there for for years, usually go around the Cheddar area - used to get to Sidmouth (for the festival) - camping and boozing around the camp fire until silly o'clock - happy days, we can't do that now of course because of the little 'uns

No worries - they bring me much more joy then the campfire ever could

If you're ever near Sidmouth, Lyme Regis is fun. The kids love the old-style arcades with those 2p cascade machines there.

We've been to Lyme Regis three or four times and never seen the old-style arcades - I didn't think the place was big enough to miss anything!

Just got back from Ibiza... 7 days in the sun, loved it! Hoping to go to Egypt later this year, lots of people mentioned Sharm el Sheikh, but can't decide which hotel to stay at. Any recommendations please?

Well I say old-style, I guess run-down and full of out of date machines. It was the cascade machines and the ones where you bet 2p or 10p on a horse and always lose. Unless you get annoyed and put a 10p in all five slots, then you win 10p, great!

I think there was only one arcade on the seafront when we were there so I guess you saw it.

Come to think of it, the best bit was we just happened to be there when they put candles all along the harbour wall, it must have been half a mile of candles, it looked great from up on the hill.
