Hi everyone,

I'm Carla and I'm new to this forum. I am a recently qualified Pilates Instructor and I'm based in Leeds. I currently run my own class every Thursday at Headingley Enterprise and Arts Centre HEART which is located behind Boots pharmacy on Otley road. The class runs at 6-7pm and is £5 to drop in. As I do not drive, I ask if clients could bring their own mat.

If you are interested in joining the class or have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me at carlapilates1@gmail.com

If you have never done Pilates before, Pilates is a whole body work out which focuses on six main principles:

1. Alignment
2. Neutral Spine and Pelvis
3. Core connection
4. Breathing
5. Shoulder connection
6. Relaxation

Overall Pilates focuses on strengthening muscles, increasing core strength, maintaining mobility through the spine, hip and shoulder joints, and increasing flexibility. You can feel the benefits of a class right away as it will help you to release unwanted tension in areas of the body such as the neck and shoulders. It will also help you to focus the mind on your breathing and on finding good posture for your body.

Please feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions.

Best wishes,

Carla - carlapilates1@gmail.com

Hi Carla, welcome to the site.

I have done 'yogalates' in the past, which I enjoyed. Would you recommend pilates to help with/prevent re-occurrence of a frozen shoulder condition?
